Demo site · Interiors studio concept · Design, build

A portfolio that gets out of the way of the rooms — and an enquiry form people actually finish.

A demo site I designed, built and measured myself. The performance numbers here are real; there is no client behind it.

The problem

The usual studio portfolio is a grid of thumbnails opening lightboxes, so visitors see the layout instead of the work.

The enquiry is the other half of the problem: nine fields is a wall most people don't climb. Four questions, every one answerable in a sentence, is a form people finish.

What I built

01

Full-width rooms, no thumbnails

Each completed project gets the whole width of the screen with nothing competing at the edges. No lightbox, no carousel, no grid of postage stamps.

02

Words that sound like a person

The about page reads the way a studio actually speaks to clients — plain, warm, specific — rather than the studio-speak every other studio site uses.

03

The enquiry path shortened

Four questions, no account to create, and the message arrives with the room the visitor was looking at.

questions on the form

↳ the handover

The editing screen where a site owner updates their own content
where a new project would go live

↳ what adding a new room looks like for them

Every site I hand over ends this way: the owner gets this screen, and a short walkthrough on the day it goes live. Tap a field, type, hit publish — the live site updates straight away.
