Editable by the owner
Change a word, swap a photo, update a price — publish in about a minute, on a phone, without emailing anyone.
How the handover worksI design and build sites for small businesses — fast on mobile, obvious to navigate, and editable by whoever owns the content. No bloated themes, no mystery markup.

How the handover works
95+
Almost no JavaScript and nothing to hydrate. Measured with Lighthouse 13.5.0 across all six sites I run — every one reads 95 or better on mobile.

How ownership works
98 PageSpeed A phone-first site with a menu the owner updates herself in minutes. No developer in the loop, ever.
99 PageSpeed Built around the one question a new patient has: can I book today? Fees in plain words, not behind a phone call.
97 PageSpeed A portfolio that gives each room the full width of the screen.
97 PageSpeed One crew for the roof and the air inside it. A three-field quote form instead of five service pages.
97 PageSpeed Where the results are the design — settled figures above the fold, and a case review that asks for less than anyone expects.
98 PageSpeed A weekly timetable that shows the actual week, and a photograph behind every discipline instead of a stock banner.
Most sites I get asked to look at have at least one of these on them. None of them are your fault — they are just what happens when nobody ends up owning the thing.
It looks fine on my laptop.
Your patients are on a mid-range phone, on mobile data, in a car park. Only one of those two experiences is currently paying you.
I’m afraid to break something.
Reasonable. So it becomes an email, then a queue, and eventually the opening hours on your site are wrong because nobody dared touch them. Wrong hours cost you more than an ugly page ever would.
The last person who built it has gone.
You own a website you cannot edit, built by someone who no longer answers. That is the actual risk, and it is why I hand over the editing screen rather than just the files.
We asked for a new page once.
It never happened, because it went into somebody’s backlog behind other work. If your content depends on a calendar, it stays wrong.
Three ways to work together, with a starting price on each. Every project is quoted as a fixed price in writing once the scope is confirmed — and if the scope changes, you approve the new number before anything happens.
New site or replacing one you have grown tired of — same job. Up to five pages, with an editing setup so you can change text, photos and prices yourself.
Targeted fixes on an existing site: images, speed, metadata, mobile usability and technical SEO — scoped before I quote it.
One clearly defined job — a layout fix, a section update, a responsive problem — done properly, with a short written note of what changed.
Also available — website care, from $40/month and hosting & maintenance, from $15/month.
You the first chat
We start with a conversation — your business, your customers, your goals. I write the plan down so we both agree on it.
Me weeks one to three
Then I build. You see real pages as they’re built — nothing gets lost in translation, because I designed it and I built it.
You handover day
The site goes live, and you get this screen — plus a short walkthrough on the day. Then it’s yours.
i’ll walk you through this on day one
Every site I build comes with this screen. No code, no tickets, no waiting — tap a field, type, hit publish, and the live site updates straight away. It takes about a minute to learn. And if you’d rather just email me and I’ll make the change, that works too.
